Who am I?

Rebeca Huerta Viga

Allow me to introduce myself and present you with a few thoughts of my own.

I was born on February 8, 1982 in Mexico, and attended the High School at CEDART Merida (Yucatan), and the University at the Institute Allende in Guanajuado. Eventually, I travelled to the Czech Republic to enroll at the Art School of Glass in Zelezny Brod, where I have been residing until now.

I have become an artist in the field of glass statues. To my mind, the creative activity can be described only as Love, an entity far superior to my simple mind.  Art forms are not just white and black. They keep on changing from one extreme to the other, and thus cause the heart to palpitate and to fill the chest with emotions. The rhythm of light and shadow keeps the feelings harmonically integrated in a dance in time.

A sculpture is the static presence of dynamic accord of mass distribution within. It represents like all art forms sympathy and antipathy of all human beings in the world.

I greet you, all my terrestrial colleagues, and hope that you’ll appreciate the few sculptures I was able to craft so far on this Earth.
